Lamb Bowl FAQs

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl suitable for arthritis?

Yes, this meal is bursting with antioxidants and Omega-3s to help reduce inflammation from arthritis and support mobility.

Antioxidants from Hemp seeds, Blueberries and Beetroot and Omega-3s from Fish oil help reduce inflammation and its associated pain and support healthy joint function.

For an added health boost, try adding:

  • Joint Supps - loaded with anti-inflammatory ingredients like Curcumin and Boswellia extract and natural antioxidants for greater joint mobility.

  • Mussel Munchies and Sardine Snaps - full of high-dose Omega 3 fatty acids and minerals to combat joint stiffness and nurture healthy joints.

Does the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl support dental health?

Yes, alongside regular brushing, Lyka meals support healthy teeth and gums.

Lyka meals are gently cooked and contain a special Kelp (ascophyllum nodosum) and Vitamin E to promote dental health. Kelp is clinically proven to change the makeup of dogs' saliva to inhibit the growth of plaque and tartar, while Vitamin E may help reduce inflammation.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl suitable for pups with diabetes?

Yes, it's Low GI and packed with plenty of fibre and complex carbs to support slow glucose absorption.

Slow-burning low GI energy avoids blood sugar spikes, making it a great option for pups with diabetes. If you're giving insulin injections, make sure you measure their glucose levels— your dog's insulin dosage requirements may need adjusting with a change in diet, speak to your vet for more information.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl suitable for pups with obesity?

Yes, while it's higher in fat than other Lyka meals, the Lamb Bowl is suitable for pups with obesity as it's high in protein and low carb.

Lyka meals help dogs feel fuller for longer while maintaining lean muscle mass. Custom-portioned servings are based on your dog's profile to avoid over-feeding and assist with weight management.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl suitable for pups with anal gland problems?

Yes, it's full of soluble fibre and anti-inflammatory ingredients for anal gland health.

Lyka meals have the right amount of fibre, with ingredients like psyllium husk, which encourages better and more regular bowel movements and supports natural anal gland expression. Anti-inflammatory ingredients also help to alleviate swelling, manage inflammation and support the microbiome.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl limited protein and hypoallergenic?

Yes, the Lamb Bowl only contains lamb and fish oil animal proteins.

All Lyka meals are either limited protein (containing one protein and fish) or single protein (containing only one animal protein). Limited protein limits the chance of triggering allergies. If you're looking for a single protein meal, the Fish Bowl could be perfect for your pup.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl grain-free?

No, it contains quinoa, which is a seed but is considered a whole grain.

For a grain-free meal, try the Beef, Chicken, Fish or Kangaroo. Turkey and Lamb Bowls contain quinoa, a gluten-free seed packed full of amino acids, antioxidants, iron and magnesium. Quinoa is great for dogs when served in moderation.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl suitable for puppies?

Yes! And adolescent dogs, adults and golden oldies.

The Lamb Bowl is rich in nutrients for puppyhood through to old age. Your flexible meal plan is designed for each puppy growth stage and helps support strong bones, aids muscle development, and bolsters their immune system and healthy brain function.

Is the Grass-fed Lamb Bowl vet formulated?

Yes, all Lyka meals are vet formulated.

The Grass-fed Lamb Bowl goes above and beyond the nutritional standards for dogs. Each meal is designed by in-house Integrative Veterinarian, Dr Matthew Muir, alongside a team of board-certified veterinary nutritionists to have an optimal mix of high protein, moderate fat and low GI carbohydrates.
