Scout’s health challenges: “I just assumed it was normal.”

Having adopted Scout as an older dog, there were many aspects of his health Laura said she and her partner normalised — from his cloudy eyes to his lacklustre energy levels.

“He would shed a lot of hair, and did a lot of paw licking and itching, but we assumed this was normal for Scout as he had always done it.”

Despite regular exercise and reduced food, Scout’s weight remained high. He was struggling with persistent diarrhoea, and much to Laura’s dismay — doing the stinkiest farts imaginable.

Laura remembers trying many different brands of food, and monitoring everything he ate… nothing seemed to work. When a friend mentioned her dog’s digestive issues had improved on Lyka, Laura decided to give it a try.
