• Staying longer than 8 weeks? If you’re keeping your puppies beyond 8 weeks or need extra meals, simply place a bulk order through the portal and enjoy a 25% discount.

In the freezer – Store meals in the freezer to keep them fresh for up to 6 months.

In the fridge – Unopened pouches can be kept in the fridge for up to 7 days. Once opened, each pouch stays fresh in the fridge for 3 days.

Non-chunky meals are densely pouched so they remain frozen for longer.

Chunky meals are less compact, although each chunk is frozen, the increased surface area means they defrost more quickly.

Yes, eventually all meals will transition to the chunky texture. However, for now, Lamb and Turkey will continue to be available in the original texture.

If you’d like a softer consistency, chunky meals can be soaked in warm water or lactose-free milk, or blended for a smoother texture.

Lyka’s Hypoallergenic Pro is a therapeutic diet made with goat, a unique single novel protein, and is formulated without common allergens like chicken, beef, egg, wheat, soy, dairy, and corn to help minimise allergic reactions. It’s designed to support elimination diets and is ideal for dogs with food allergies, intolerances, skin conditions, or gut sensitivities.

If you know which ingredients your pup is sensitive to, our regular Lyka meal range might also be suitable. Each meal contains limited protein: a single protein with fish oil, except for our Beef meal, which includes nutrient-rich sardines. We recommend a 5-day transition to help your dog’s system adjust to the new, fresh ingredients in Lyka meals.

Start slow – Begin with 25% Lyka and 75% of their current food, gradually increasing Lyka each day until they’ve fully transitioned to 100%.

Support with probiotics – Our Go-To Gut Helper probiotic can give your dog’s microbiome a boost, making the transition smoother.

Take it easy if needed – If your dog shows signs of an upset stomach, slow down the transition. Go back to a smaller portion of Lyka for three days to help stabilise their digestion. Adding a bit of cooked butternut squash can also help settle their tummy.
