2022 has been an epic year here at Lyka HQ and we’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together.
We’ve loved giving our puppers the signature Lyka glow-up and making them happy from the inside out through real food.
Putting puppers first is what we do best, and we couldn’t be prouder to be helping reshape an outdated pet food industry with the help of our dedicated community of pupper parents, who are just as passionate as us about nourishing their pups.
We’ve reached some incredible milestones this year and want to celebrate with you!
Millions of meals served
This year, we reached the milestone of 10 million Lyka meals served to puppers across Australia — the equivalent of a whopping three million kilograms of fresh food.
Each meal is made with love in our Aussie kitchens, and collectively, we’ve cooked:
One million carrots
20 million blueberries
200kg quinoa
That’s a whole heap of fresh, human-grade nourishment, right there!
Got fishy with it!
In May, we introduced a new drool-worthy recipe to our line-up — Fancy Fetchin’ Fish Bowl. Only using humanely and wild-caught blue grenadier, sardines and anchovies, our latest recipe is environmentally conscious and chock full of omega-rich oils and essential fatty acids. Hello, glow!
It’s also hypoallergenic, making it the perfect option for many puppers. Helping to boost the health of your pup’s skin and coat, it’s no surprise that this recipe has quickly become a firm favourite among our furry friends.
What Supp?
In October, our exciting new Pupper Supps range took us to the next level in dog nutrition.
Each Pupper Supp has been carefully designed by our in-house Integrative Veterinarian, Dr. Matthew Muir, alongside a team of Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionists. The targeted and preventive health line-up includes:
Joint: To improve the ability for mobility
Digestive: For good gut health and happy tummies
Dental: For nice gnashers and good gums
Skin: For radiant health, nourished skin and a shiny coat
Calm: The daily dose for peaceful puppers
We also launched Pupper Supp Multi-Packs that combine different supplements designed to work together to promote different health benefits at all life stages.

Connected our community
We launched our Lyka Pupper Parents Facebook group, which is an online community of like-minded Lyka lovers and a safe space where they can share tips, tricks and adorable pupper pics.
Since January, over 3,000 members have joined the online pack. It’s now a thriving hub for dog lovers with:

Reduced our pawprint
When it comes to sustainability, we’re like a dog with a bone.
As Australia’s only carbon-negative dog food company, we’re creating healthier puppers and contributing to the health of our beautiful planet. Here’s a quick sticks look at some of our initiatives:
Planted 18,692 trees
In collaboration with Greenfleet, we planted more than 125 unique species of trees and plants across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. By doing this, we’re helping to restore ecosystems, expand natural forests and offset our carbon footprint.
Proudly plastic negative
This year, we removed 15,000 kg of plastic from our operations. That’s the equivalent of 840,444 plastic bottles! We’re also proud to support Project Laut Yang Tenang, a plastic recycling initiative in Indonesia.
Recyclable and biodegradable packaging
We have worked hard to ensure all our packaging is either recyclable or biodegradable. Our Pupper Supps packaging uses 99% recycled plastics, while our Treats pouches are 100% biodegradable and our signature cardboard box is 100% recyclable.
The uglier, the better
We are proud to support Aussie farmers by sourcing “ugly bunch” fresh produce and keeping things sustainable from the ground up. We use the whole vegetable, including the skin, so no nutrients are wasted and there’s nothing to add to landfill.
Award-winning initiatives
Sustainability is at the heart of our operations — we’re committed to making a positive impact on our pups and our planet. This year, we were humbled to be awarded second place in the Clean + Conscious Awards, Home | Pet category.
Giving back to the pack
We love puppers of all shapes, sizes, breeds and backgrounds and want every pup to live their best life. Sadly, not all pups have found their fur-ever homes. This year, we donated 1.5 million tonnes of food to rescue groups including Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Bargo Dingo Sanctuary and Happy Tail Animal Rescue.
As we zoomie towards the end of the year, we raise a Chicky Chew and bow-wow to you and your pups.
