Chicken breast is high in essential fatty acids that your dog needs, particularly linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid. We balance our omega 6:3 ratio to be between 3:1 and 5:1 using ingredients like fish oil and hemp seeds, much lower than AAFCO guidelines of a maximum of 30:1. We do this as omega 6’s can be pro-inflammatory in excess, and omega 3s are anti-inflammatory to counteract this.
